Christel Oldenburg (born September 8, 1961 in Geesthacht ) is a German SPD politician , member of the Hamburg citizenship and historian .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1981, Christel Oldenburg studied history, philosophy and education at the University of Hamburg and graduated with a state examination. This was followed by a job in the printing and publishing house of the Bergedorfer Zeitung . Since 1993 she has worked at the Museum for Bergedorf and the Vierlande . In 2008 she received her doctorate from the University of Hamburg with a thesis on the Hamburg SPD from 1950 to 1966.

Christel Oldenburg has been a member of the SPD since 1993 and a member of the SPD district executive committee of Bergedorf since 1996 . From 2001 to 2007 she was a member of the state executive committee of the Hamburg SPD and since 2006 deputy SPD district chairwoman Bergedorf. In addition, between 2000 and 2008 she was chairwoman of the history working group of the Hamburg SPD.

In February 2008, she was in the state election on the constituency Bergedorf move as deputies to the Hamburg Parliament. There she sits for her parliamentary group in the culture, creative industries and tourism committee, urban development committee and science committee. For her parliamentary group , she was also the spokesperson for culture from 2008 to 2011 .

She moved into the citizenship elected in 2020 again: She moved up for a Senate member whose mandate was suspended.
