Christel Salewski (* 1962 ) is a German psychologist .

Life

After her license to practice medicine in 1993 as a psychological psychotherapist after training as a behavioral therapist at the German Society for Psychology (DGVT) and her doctorate in 1993 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster "Spatial Distances in Interactions" (grade: summa cum laude ), she was from 1994 to 2004 Research assistant (assistant (C1) / senior assistant (C2)) in the Department of Differential and Personality Psychology, Psychological Diagnostics, Institute for Psychology, at the University of Greifswald (1997–1998 and 2001 parental leave). After her habilitation in 2001 in the field of "Psychology" at the Philosophical Faculty in Greifswald (title of the thesis "Disease coping and subjective disease theories in chronically ill adolescents and their parents"), she taught from 2004 to 2012 as a professor for differential and personality psychology (C3) in the department Applied human sciences in the rehabilitation psychology course at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences . Since April 2012 she has been teaching at the Chair of Health Psychology (W3) at the Institute for Psychology at the FernUniversität in Hagen .
