Christel Streffer

Christel Streffer (born January 15, 1941 in Milspe ) is a German lawyer.

Career

After completing her legal training, Streffer began working in the social justice system in Baden-Württemberg . With effect from April 1, 1970 she moved to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg. From there, her professional career led in February 1971 to the Federal Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs , where she finally headed the sub-department "Occupational Safety and Health" as ministerial director. In July 1997, she was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court . From July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2002 she was a member of the judges' council , of which she became deputy chair on July 1, 2002. From 1999 to 2003 she also held the position of chairman of the Association of Federal Judges at the Federal Social Court . She developed her judicial work at the BSG in the 5th Senate, where she dealt with the subject of pension insurance , and in the 8th Senate, which was responsible for miners ' insurance and accident insurance for mining . On September 1, 2005, she took over the deputy chairmanship of the 8th Senate. On February 1, 2006, Streffer retired.
