Christian Audigier
Christian Audigier (born May 21, 1958 in Avignon ; † July 9, 2015 in Los Angeles ) was a French fashion designer and entrepreneur.
Career
He grew up under difficult family conditions in France and was dependent on earning his own money from an early age. At the age of 16 he was discovered by a jeans label because he was very successful as a salesman.
Christian Audigier designed for several major labels, including Diesel , Lee , Levi's and Von Dutch . As chief designer at Von Dutch, he made the breakthrough. Among other things, he set a fashionable trend with baseball caps, which is actually typical trucker fashion. Audigier was inspired by the fashion of white trash and rock'n'roll .
In 2011 he sold the Ed Hardy fashion label based on working with Don Ed Hardy .
His last projects were Smet in collaboration with Johnny Hallyday , his daughter Crystal's Crystal Rock label and his own Christian Audigier label . In July 2015, Audigier died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of complications from myelodysplastic syndrome at the age of 57 .
