Christian Behrnauer
Christian Behrnauer (born September 29, 1649 in Berzdorf auf dem Eigen ; † May 21, 1720 in Löbau ) was a German Protestant theologian.
Life
Christian Behrnauer was born in 1649 as the son of the Berzdorf pastor George Behrnauer. He studied in Görlitz and Leipzig and took up the pastor's post in Berthelsdorf near Herrnhut on Occuli Sunday in 1678 , where he worked for six years.
In September 1684 Behrnauer became archdeacon in Löbau and was the local pastor primarius from 1700 . He died in office in 1720. Some of his sermons have appeared in print.
His son Georg Ehrenfried Behrnauer (1682–1740) was the rector of the Bautzner grammar school.
