Christian Bock (Author)
Carl Christian Bock (born December 30, 1906 in Rejsby , North Schleswig , today Denmark , † beginning of August 1975 in Hamburg ) was a German author of radio and television plays .
life and career
Carl Christian Bock was the son of Pastor Andreas Bock and Louise Bock, née Dührkop. After studying philosophy and journalism, he worked, among other things, in the features section of the Vossische Zeitung before becoming a freelance author in 1930. In 1938/39 he was a dramaturge at Tobis . Several of his radio plays were later turned into scripts. At Tobis he met Herbert Reinecker , who attended a course for screenwriters there in 1940. They became friends and ended up writing a script together. In addition to radio plays, Christian Bock later also wrote television plays.
After the war Bock lived in Hamburg, where he also died in August 1975.
