Christian David Zeller (born July 11, 1749 in Böblingen ; † November 19, 1812 in Ludwigsburg ) was a lawyer and Württemberg court advisor.

Life

Zeller was the son of the Böblinger deacon Johann Christoph Zeller (1714–1760) and came from the Maulbronn line of the respected Wuerttemberg pastor and civil servant family Zeller. In Münchingen he was prepared for studying in Tübingen by the well-known pastor Johann Friedrich Flattich . After studying law, he turned to agriculture and in 1773 bought the Hohenentringen castle estate from his mother-in-law for 10,000 guilders from his father's inheritance , where he lived in rural and lovely solitude with his wife Christiane Heinrike, a daughter of the parish priest Johann Georg Schneck from Waldenbuch , lived.

Among his rapidly growing number of children, the first-born Carl August Zeller in 1774 and Christian Heinrich Zeller, born in 1779, should be mentioned, who later, like his brother, became important in the educational field. After Hohenentringen was sold to Duke Carl Eugen von Württemberg for 20,000 guilders in 1785 , the family moved to Ludwigsburg, where Zeller opened a law firm.
