Christian Erichsen (born October 21, 1990 ) is a former Swiss Nordic combined athlete .
Career
Christian Erichsen started for SC Giswil-Mörlialp . He started his international career at the Continental Cup on March 7th and 8th, 2009 in Høydalsmo , Norway , where he finished 37th and 38th. In the following years he continued to start regularly in the Continental Cup, with his best result in the individual being a tenth place in March 2011 in Høydalsmo. Together with Ivo Hess , Sven Fawer and Tim Hug , Erichsen achieved his first and only podium finish in the Continental Cup at the Kranj team competition on February 18, 2012.
On December 18 and 19, 2010 Erichsen made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup , where he finished 58th and 56th. In total, he only competed six times in the World Cup in the following years; his best result was a ninth place with the Swiss team at the team competition in Oberstdorf on January 7, 2012.
At the Swiss Championships 2011 in Einsiedeln , Erichsen took bronze behind Tim Hug and Seppi Hurschler . Two years later, Erichsen won the bronze medal again at the 2013 championships behind Tim Hug and Jan Kirchhofer .
After his last start in the World Cup in March 2014 in Oslo , Erichsen ended his career.
