The Calypso Cliffs are two striking cliffs of 850 m height on the Bowman coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They rise in the southern part of Bowman Inlet immediately west of the mouth of the Cronus Glacier .
Aerial photographs were taken on September 28, 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) and on December 22, 1947 during the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey surveyed the cliffs in December 1958 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1962 after Calypso , the daughter of the Titan Atlas from Greek mythology.
