The Cronus Glacier is a 10 km long and up to 5 km long glacier on the Bowman coast of Graham Land in the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows to the northwest to Bowman Inlet , which it reaches between the Calypso Cliffs and Crabeater Point .
Trimetrogon aerial photographs were taken on September 22, 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey took measurements of the glacier in December 1958. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1962 after Cronus , the father of Zeus from Greek mythology.
