The Crabeater Point is a headland at the Bowman Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 6 km east of the Victory Nunatak on the southeast edge of the Mobiloil Inlet .
The headland is the northwestern extension of a striking mountain ridge that scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) photographed on September 28, 1940. Trimetrogon aerial photographs were taken on December 22, 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey surveyed the headland in December 1958 and gave it its descriptive name. In the plan view it reminds in conjunction with the adjacent ridge to a lying Crabeater (English crabeater seal ).
