Christian Fährmann (born October 5, 1975 in Berlin-Kreuzberg ) is a former German football player .
At a young age, Fährmann was considered a great talent, including taking part in the U20 World Cup in Qatar in 1995 .
He celebrated his greatest success in 1997 when he was promoted to the Bundesliga as a regular with Hertha BSC .
He attracted attention again when he sued his former club 1. FC Union Berlin before the regional labor court in Berlin, because they withheld part of Fährmann's salary because Fährmann did not see the club's doctor after an injury and called in sick too late. The players' union VdV tried to reach a fundamental judgment from this, but received no right in front of the court.
