Christian Frenzel

Christian Frenzel (* 1963 in Uetersen ) is a German judge , politician ( SPD ) and former head of the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

Frenzel was born in 1963 in Uetersen as the son of the Police President and State Councilor Jürgen Frenzel in Hamburg and spent his youth in Uetersen. He attended the Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium there , where he graduated from high school in 1984 .

Frenzel was the coach of the youth team of the fistball department of TSV Uetersen , whose selection was the 1983 gymnastics festival winner at the German Gymnastics Festival in Frankfurt and outclassed the entire German top in youth fistball. He has lived in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 1990. After studying law, Frenzel became a judge in 1994 and worked at various courts, most recently as director of the Schwerin District Court and in the Ministry of Justice.

From June 2013 Frenzel headed the energy department at the Ministry of Energy. He is honorary president of the state gymnastics association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Frenzel was a member of the 13th and 14th Federal Assembly .

From January 14, 2014 to January 22, 2018, Frenzel was the successor to Christian Ebene Head of the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
