Christian Trade (* 1978 in Lohr am Main ) is a German Fantasy - writer and presenter .

life and work

Christian Handel has been writing articles on fantastic topics as a freelance editor since 2008. a. for Nautilus - Abenteuer & Fantastik ., the online magazine of the audio book provider Audible, Tor-Online . and the Tolkien Times published by Klett-Cotta Verlag. He also moderates readings and author events

He has appeared as an author of fictional material since 2016. He writes mainly in the field of fantasy and deals with independent female characters, fairytale motifs and queer topics in his works. He is also the editor of a number of short story collections at Drachenmond Verlag . The first volume, Behind Dornenhecken and Zauberspiegel , was awarded both the German Fantastic Prize and the Skoutz Award for Best Anthology in 2017 .

His first novel Roses and Bones was published by Drachenmond Verlag in summer 2017 and was nominated for the Seraph Fantastic Literature Prize in the category Best Debut the following year .

He is a member of the Fantastik authors network and the SchreibWG. But he lives in Berlin.
