Christian Harisch

Christian Harisch (born December 24, 1966 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian lawyer, hotelier and real estate entrepreneur.

Life

Harisch comes from a Kitzbühel hotelier family. After training as a tourism clerk, he studied law and founded a law firm in 1997. Before that, he had already developed larger real estate projects such as a residential project in Kitzbühel. In 1998 a partnership with Stefan Rutter, an expert for shopping centers, came about. This was followed by the concentration on the construction and renovation of specialist market and shopping centers. The first joint retail projects began in 2000 , according to the M-City. It followed u. a. also large shopping center projects such as EO Oberwart (2009), Cyta Shoppingwelt in Innsbruck (2016) or Merkurcity in Wiener Neustadt (2017).

The family hotelier tradition began with the Goldener Greif in Kitzbühel . In 1998 the family property was split up and the Golden Greif and two thirds of the Hotel Maria Theresia went to Joseph Harisch and are now run by his daughters.

In 1998 he took over the "Schwarzer Adler" and a third of the "Maria Theresia", in 2006 the traditional house "Weisses Rössl" was bought. With the acquisition of the Lanserhof in 1998 together with his partners u. a. KR Anton Pletzer founded a hotel group that follows the concept of "medical wellness". In addition to the Schwarzer Adler parent company, the Harisch Hotels group includes more than 10 hotels.

Harisch is the editor of two cookbooks, Die Gesundküche: Newest Stand and The 50 Healthiest 10-Minute Recipes . He lives with his wife and four children in Kitzbühel, Vienna and Hamburg.
