Christian Holtzhauer

Christian Holtzhauer (* 1974 in Leipzig ) is a German dramaturge , curator and artistic director .

Life

After studying music and theater studies in Berlin and Toronto , he and Amelie Deuflhard were responsible for the artistic program of the Berlin Sophiensaele from 2001 to 2004 . From 2005 to 2013 he worked as a dramaturge and project manager at the Staatstheater Stuttgart . From 2014 to 2018 he was the artistic director of the Weimar Art Festival . Holtzhauer has been acting director at the Nationaltheater Mannheim since September 1, 2018 .

From January 2011 to January 2017 he was chairman of the Dramaturgische Gesellschaft , after having been a member of the board since 2005.
