Scientific work

Daehnhardt dealt with physiological chemistry during his time as Victor Hensen's assistant . In his lectures and several articles, most of which appeared in the publications of the Physiological Institute, he dealt with the chemistry of lymph, urine and the formation of glycogen in the liver. This shows that he was very interested in medicinal chemistry , which was emerging at the time . Later he mostly dealt with neurology and electrotherapy . From 1874 he gave regular lectures on this in the context of his lectures and exercises.
