Christian Kendung

Christian Kassy (born February 11, 1968 in Koblenz ) is a German media and cultural scientist .

From 1988 to 1995 he studied German , physics and philosophy at the Universities of Cologne and Aachen . In 1999 he received his doctorate in Cologne . He then worked as a research assistant to Thomas Macho at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After substitute professorships at the Universities of Siegen and Linz , he has been Professor of Cultural Techniques and the History of Knowledge at the Humboldt University since 2006 , where he also received his habilitation in 2007 . From 2007 to 2010 he was Dean of Studies at the Philosophical Faculty III, and in 2010 he received the Humboldt Prize for good teaching. In 2010/2011 he was a member of the Humboldt University's Excellence Initiative forum to prepare the long proposal for the Excellence Initiative .

Kassung's work focuses on literary and cultural theory, the history of science in physics, and media theory and practice.
