Christian Keifferer

P. Christian Keifferer (* 1575 in Dillingen an der Donau ; † 1635 ) was a German organist and composer .

Around 1598 he joined the Premonstratensian Monastery of Weißenau and worked there as an organist and composer. Between 1610 and 1618 he published several sacred works for three to eight voices. Keifferer's style is influenced by Italy, albeit not by the modern opera of the time, but by the stricter norms of the Council of Trent .

In 1635 he died of the plague.
