Christian Knehans (born December 26, 1968 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The midfielder Knehans was part of the first team of Arminia Bielefeld from 1987 to 1991 . On August 1, 1987, he made his debut for Bielefeld in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1: 3 defeat at Fortuna Cologne . By the end of the season, when Arminia was relegated from bottom of the table, Knehans had played four second division games without scoring. In the Oberliga Westfalen , Knehans was runner-up with Bielefeld in 1989 and champion a year later. However, the team failed in the subsequent round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . Knehans scored 15 goals in 51 league games.

In the summer of 1991 Knehans moved to the national division Spvg Versmold . Four years later he missed promotion to the Verbandsliga Westfalen with the Versmoldern after a 2: 3 defeat in the playoff against Davaria Davensberg .
