Career
In his youth and in the first two years in the senior division, Lenze played at 1. FC Magdeburg before moving to Kickers Emden in 1999 . In 2001 he joined Werder Bremen , but was not used in the 1st team, but only played with the amateurs in the Regionalliga Nord.
Lenze moved to VfL Osnabrück in the middle of the 2003/04 season . After the Osnabrück relegation to the regional league, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt . In the second division season 2004/05 he was regularly set up in the first half of the season by coach Friedhelm Funkel and also scored two goals. In the second half of the season he was rarely used, but the successful end of the season was promotion to the 1st Bundesliga . This was his greatest football success so far.
In January 2006 he moved to FC Erzgebirge Aue , for whom he scored three goals in 25 second division games, before moving to Eintracht Braunschweig in the regional league in August 2007 . Lenze became a regular player in Braunschweig and played 51 games in two years, in which he scored five goals. Nevertheless, his contract was not extended at the end of the 2008/09 season. After being out of a club for a few months, he signed a contract with VfB Oldenburg until 2011 in November 2009. This contract was dissolved in June 2010 for professional reasons.
Lenze was double-footed and was known for transforming corners directly from both the left and the right.
