Christian Mair (born February 11, 1981 in Bruneck , South Tyrol ) is an Italian ice hockey player who was active in Serie A for his hometown club HC Pustertal for 16 years . He has been active for the Italian second division HC Falcons Brixen since the 2018/19 season .

Career

Christian Mair began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HC Pustertal . There he made the leap into the first team in 1997, which at that time took part in the championship of the Italian Serie A1 . In the summer of 2001 Christian Mair decided to go to league rivals WSV Sterzing Broncos for a year , as HC Pustertal had previously voluntarily withdrawn into Serie B. After a season in Sterzing he returned to the Pustertal. The 2006/07 season was statistically his best - in 32 games he scored 34 points, including nine goals and 25 assists. At that time he formed a defender pair with Jonas Lennartsson .

In August 2014 he ended his career after 690 appearances for HC Pustertal, in which he scored 367 points scorer. Mair returned for the 2018/19 season and subsequently ran for the Italian second division club HC Falcons Brixen .

International

For Italy , Mair took part in the U18 Junior B World Championship in 1999 , U20 Junior B World Championship in 2000 and the U20 Junior D1 World Championship in 2001 .
