Christian Marin

Christian Bernard Georges Marin (born February 8, 1929 in Lyon , † September 5, 2012 in Paris ) was a French actor and musician .

Life

He began his acting career in 1953 at the Comédie de Saint-Étienne Theater in Saint-Étienne and also appeared in films from 1957.

Christian Marin achieved greater fame in Germany primarily through eight films starring the French comedian Louis de Funès . In four of them he played the role of sergeant Merlot; two more gendarme films were made without his involvement, as he had other obligations at the time. In France, he became known to the public through successful TV series such as Les chevaliers du ciel . Since the 1980s he slowly withdrew from the international screen and was most recently active primarily in television and theater .

In addition to his work as an actor, Marin also recorded some records.
