Christian Mildbrandt
Christian Mildbrandt , artist name Schoko Casana Rosso (born January 10, 1960 in Berlin ; † September 26, 2014 there ), was a German graphic artist and illustrator .
In his youth, Milbrandt worked in various fields, such as a Jiu-Jitsu trainer (holder of the 4th Dan) and as a salsa dancer. He began his work as an illustrator and visual artist in 1979 after graduating from high school. From 1980 he organized solo exhibitions and participated in exhibitions. In 1982 and 1983 he was co-editor of the graphic journal 25 . From 1984 he worked as an illustrator at the Rolf A. Burkart publishing house . From 1993 he worked for the publisher's artist magazine artischocke .
In 1994 he started the production of artists' books in self-publishing . He published artist books for the Corvinus Press , for example together with Peter Wawerzinek and Heinrich Ost . He was also active in the field of mail art .
Until his death he remained a trainer in the First Berlin Judo Club 1922 eV ( EBJC ). His grave is in Schöneiche near Berlin (Friedhof Friedensaue ).
His estate is in the Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage.
