Christian Morgenstern (musician)

Christian Morgenstern (* 10. November 1975 in Dusseldorf , † 17th June 2003 in Cologne ) was a German techno - musicians . He also published under the pseudonyms Visco Space , CHRS and The Bikini Machine . Morgenstern's melodic techno house tracks were often characterized by his predilection for synth pop from the 1980s.

Life

After taking an early interest in graphic design , he soon got his first computer. From 1994 he also produced his first pieces of electronic music. After first publications on Kurb Records and Kanzleramt Records , he founded his own label Forte Records . In 1997 he moved to Cologne and began studying art. He broke this off in 2001 after the success of his album Hawaii Blue in order to concentrate only on his label and the music.

On June 17, 2003, he died unexpectedly in his Cologne apartment after complaining of chest pain while skating with his friends. A friend found him dead in his apartment after no one could reach him for days.

His last album Carolea , on which he experimented with singing for the first time , initially remained unfinished. It was completed with the help of friends and other artists and released on Forte Records in November 2003 . The label was then discontinued.
