Christian Neumann

Christian Neumann (* 23. December 1935 ; † 13. March 2018 ) was a German local politician of the CDU .

The civil engineer has been a councilor in his home town of Hörnitz since the 1970s . After the appointment of the previous district administrator of the Saxon district of Zittau, Heinz Eggert, as Saxon State Minister of the Interior, the district administrator of Neumann was elected as his successor on November 13, 1991. Neumann held the office of district administrator until the district was dissolved on July 31, 1994.

Neumann was unable to assert himself against his former Löbauer counterpart Volker Stange in the selection of the CDU candidate for the election of the district administrator in the newly formed district of Löbau-Zittau .

Neumann was a member of the pedigree poultry and rabbit breeders' association Hörnitz und Umgebung eV and the privileged shooting society Zittau in 1584.
