Christian Rothmann

Christian Rothmann (born 1954 in Kędzierzyn , Poland ) is a painter , photographer and graphic artist .

Life

He moved to Langen in Hesse in 1965 . In 1976 he first studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach and in 1977 moved to Berlin , where he graduated from the Hochschule der Künste in 1983. From 1983 to 1995 he taught at the university as a lecturer and as an artistic assistant with a focus on screen printing and American art history . To this day, a multifaceted oeuvre has been created, which in addition to paintings also includes long-term photo projects, videos and public art.

Guest lectures, teaching assignments, grants and exhibitions take Rothmann regularly on trips in Germany and abroad.
