Christian Siegel (* 1966 in Zwickau ) is a German painter, graphic artist, university professor and author of numerous publications in the field of art and culture. He was the last student of the German-Baltic painter Tatjana Lietz (1916–2001).

He became known as a portrait and landscape painter, as well as for large-format picture plans in Zwickau and Wittenberg . He initiated numerous artistic projects in Dresden , Zwickau, Halle and Merseburg . He lives and works in Zwickau, Wildenthal (Eibenstock) , Halle and Merseburg.

Life

After graduating from high school, he began an apprenticeship as a carpenter in Zwickau. He was a private student of Tatjana Lietz before he began studying at the Dresden University of Fine Arts . This was followed by a supplementary course in monument preservation at the Technical University of Dresden . Since 1998 he has been a full-time lecturer at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences in the field of Artistic Basics and since 2006 he has been an art teacher at the Peter Breuer Gymnasium in Zwickau.

Artistic activity

Siegel's artistic focus is landscape and portrait painting (portraits of musicians), graphics on biblical topics and interdisciplinary projects.

He had exhibitions in Zwickau, Dresden, Schönfels Castle , Rüdesheim am Rhein , Werdau , Glauchau , Burgstädt , Crimmitschau , Magdeburg, Leuna , Halle (Saale) and Merseburg.
