Christian Speck (born December 22, 1937 in Menziken ; † May 5, 2005 in Aarau ) was a Swiss politician ( SVP ). Citizen of Oberkulm . From the 1995 elections until his death in 2005, he was Aargau's representative in the National Council .

Life

Christian Speck was a master baker and from 1998 presided over the Swiss Association of Master Bakers and Confectioners. From 1973 to 1996 he was mayor of Oberkulm . As a national councilor, Speck mainly dealt with energy policy. He sat on the boards of several power plant companies.

He died unexpectedly on May 5, 2005, shortly after heart problems were found during a health check and he had to undergo an operation. His successor in the National Council was Lieni Füglistaller , who was sworn in on May 30, 2005 at the beginning of the summer session.
