Leonhard "Lieni" Füglistaller (born December 31, 1951 in Zurich ; resident in Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ). He was a member of the National Council from 2005 to 2011 .

Political career

Lieni Füglistaller was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau from 1985 to 2009 . In 2005 he moved to the National Council after the death of Christian Speck . In the 2007 National Council elections , he was re-elected with 59,661 votes.

In December 2010, Füglistaller announced that he would no longer stand for election in the National Council elections in autumn 2011. The reason he named allegations from within his own ranks, namely from the SVP district party Bremgarten.

Füglistaller ran unsuccessfully as a “wild” candidate in the 2011 elections for the Council of States .

In December 2011, after disagreements, Füglistaller was banned from the management of the Aargau cantonal party at the request of the SVP district party Bremgarten.

Political content

Füglistaller mainly advocated the topics of tax cuts, against Switzerland's accession to the EU and reforms in social policy. He also wanted performance thinking to return to schools and for foreigners to immigrate to Switzerland to slow down.

job

Füglistaller has been working as a self-employed person since 1971. He took over his parents' small business. He then took part in the development and management of a group of companies with over 100 employees. In 1999 he sold his entire group of companies. Today Füglistaller works as a management consultant.

Private

Füglistaller has been married since 1981 and has three grown children. He lives in Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg.
