Christine Egerszegi-Obrist
Christine Egerszegi-Obrist (born May 29, 1948 in Baden , resident in Baden, Mellingen and Riniken ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). In 2006/07 she was President of the National Council .
Life
Egerszegi was a member of the Aargau Grand Council from 1989 to 1995 .
In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 1995 she was elected to the National Council, which she presided over in 2006/2007 . From 2003 to 2005 she was Vice-President of the National Council's Commission for Social Security and Health. In the elections on October 21, 2007 , she was elected the first female member of the Canton of Aargau. Since then she has been a member of the Council of States Commission for Social Security and Health and, from 2009, its Vice-President. In 2015 she resigned from the Council of States.
Egerszegi was president of the initiative committee for the federal popular initiative “youth + music”. The initiative committee with President Egerszegi was honored with the Johanna Dürmüller-Bol Young Classics Award 2012.
Egerszegi is widowed, has two children and five grandchildren.
