Laoang is a Filipino municipality in the Northern Samar Province . It has 61,359 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census).

geography

The community is located on the northeast corner of Samar Island on the coast of the Philippine Sea . It comprises several islands, the largest being Laoang Island , which is separated from the main island by the Delta of the Catubig River and on which the Poblacion (the center) of the municipality is located, and the island of Batag .
