Capul is a Philippine municipality in the province of Northern Samar . It is located on the island of the same name, Capul, west of the island of Samar . The Spanish fortress Fuerza de Capul was completed on Capul in the 18th century ; it was used to control ship traffic and to warn the Spanish guards early on when the Moro pirates on raids approached the island in the 18th century.
