Las Navas is a Philippine municipality in the province of Northern Samar on the island of Samar . It has 37,947 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 53 barangays . The community is described as partially urban and belongs to the first income bracket of the communities in the Philippines. Its neighboring communities are Catubig in the north, Silvino Lobos in the west, Jipapad in the Eastern Samar Province in the east and Matuguinao and San Jose De Buan in the Samar Province in the south. Las Navas is located about 43 south-east of the provincial capital Catarman . The community is located in the water catchment area of ​​the Catubig River .
