Christian Wilhelm von Dieskau

Christian Wilhelm von Dieskau , currently mostly von Dießkau , (* March 24, 1703 at the Leuchtenburg ; † November 2, 1764 ) was a Saxon-Coburg-Saalfeld castle captain, chamberlain, Bergrat, and mint and building director.

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Dieskau and was the son of Werner von Dieskau , who was in command of the Leuchtenburg at the time. Christian Wilhelm was initially in the Dutch service and later embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Duke of Saxony-Coburg-Saalfeld. He became famous as the castle captain in Saalfeld .

In 1734 he married Charlotta Sophia von Dennstädt (1700–1744). From this marriage a son and three daughters were born. In his second marriage he married Augusta Margaretha von Hopfgarten.
