Christian Zschocke

Christian Zschocke (born December 7, 1960 in Cologne ) is a German legal scholar . He is currently managing partner of the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Germany.

Life

Christian Zschocke grew up in Germany and studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and in London . He has been admitted to the bar since 1990 and at the Cologne Higher Regional Court since 1996 . In 1994 he received the degree of Doctor of Law from the University of Hamburg . Since 1997 he has worked for the global law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP; since 1998 as managing partner for Germany.

Christian Zschocke is married and has one son.

Professional background

From 1990 to 1996 Christian Zschocke worked as a lawyer specializing in antitrust law for a New York- based international law firm in London , Brussels and Frankfurt . Before that, during his training, he worked for the European Commission , Directorate General IV for Competition, in Brussels, as well as in law firms in Paris , Barcelona and Buenos Aires .

Since 1997 he has been working for the international law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as Managing Partner for Germany. His work focuses in particular on public transactions as well as European and German antitrust law.

Christian Zschocke regularly gives lectures at seminars and is the author of numerous publications on takeover and antitrust law.
