Christian von Brömbsen

Christian von Brömbsen (* 1742 ; † November 2, 1808 ) was mayor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck .

Brömbsen was born as the son of the owner of the Holstein estate Nütschau Christian von Brömbsen († 1759). In 1768 he became a member of the exclusive Lübeck Circle Society and in 1770 he entered the Danish service as a major. He sold the Gut Nütschau in 1777 by appunctuation ( preliminary contract ). Also in 1777 he was elected to the council of the city of Lübeck, where he was appointed mayor in 1800. During the French period of Lübeck , he was the senior mayor of the council.

He was married to a daughter of the Schonenfahrers and councilor Johann Christoph Weigel (1704–1777) and died without male descendants.
