Christiane Ekué

Christiane Tchotcho Akoua Ekué (* 1954 in Lomé ) is a Togolese writer and publisher .

Ekué is the daughter of an accountant and a teacher. She began her school education in Kodjoviakopé, a district of Lomé. She then lived temporarily in Bobo-Dioulasso before attending a school in Beaune from 1968 . From 1974 to 1984 she studied in Togo and Saarbrücken . She then worked as a proofreader for the publishing house Nouvelles éditions africaines du Togo (NEAT). In 1992 she became assistant publisher and later director of the company. In 2005 she founded the Editions Graines de Pensées publishing house in Lomé , where she lives.

Her best-known writings include the novel Le Crime de la rue des notables (1989) and the short story Partir en France (1996). While her mother tongue is Mina , she writes her literary works in French.
