Christiane Leidinger

Christiane Leidinger (* 1969 ) is a German political and social scientist and professor of sociology with a special focus on gender sociology at the University of Düsseldorf .

biography

In 1995 Christiane Leidinger completed her studies in history , sociology and political science at the Free University of Berlin with a degree in political science. In 2002 she completed her doctorate with a scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation under Barbara Holland-Cunz and Hans J. Kleinsteuber (University of Hamburg) at the University of Gießen with a thesis on the political economy of media and globalization . In 2018 she accepted an offer at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, where she had been visiting professor for gender sociology and empowerment since the 2016/2017 winter semester.

In 2019 she received the CouLe Prize together with Ingeborg Boxhammer .
