Christina Baltes (born July 29, 1962 in Stennweiler ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been the mayor of Stennweiler since 2010 . In March 2017 she was elected to the 16th state parliament of Saarland .

Life

Christina Baltes has been working as an administrative clerk at the Saarland Chamber of Labor since 1989 , where she also holds the position of women's representative . She has been a member of the local SPD association in Stennweiler since 1995, where she holds the office of deputy chairwoman. She is also the chairwoman of the community association. She is also involved in associations.

In 2010 she inherited her party comrade Markus Fuchs in the office of mayor of the village of Stennweiler after he was elected mayor of Schiffweiler . Baltes was previously the deputy mayor. During her term of office, the celebrations for the 666th anniversary celebration in 2013 fell.

In the state elections in Saarland in 2017 , she was elected as an SPD candidate in the 16th Saarland state parliament.
