"Millennial linden tree"

The "thousand year old linden tree" marks the center of Stennweiler. The tree got its name because it has been standing for a very long time, but the actual "millennial" comes from the vernacular. The actual age of the tree is estimated to be around 400 years. The linden tree, which has been designated a natural monument , is now held by several supports to prevent it from collapsing.
