Christina Maslach

Christina Maslach (born January 21, 1946 in San Francisco , California ) is a retired professor of psychology at the University of California at Berkeley (USA).

She has made a significant contribution to research into burnout syndrome and developed the Maslach Burnout Inventory , a questionnaire that is used to diagnose it.

In 1971 Maslach got the social psychologist Philip Zimbardo , her partner at the time and her husband since 1972, to break off the runaway Stanford Prison Experiment .

In 2020 Maslach received the NAS Award for Scientific Reviewing .
