Christina Seidel (born September 10, 1952 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German author.

Life

After graduation, chemistry studies and promotion (via crystalline liquids) in Hall they researched over pesticides in chemistry combine bitter field . The birth of the second son in 1983 and the three-year time off from work were the trigger for writing children's stories for television and radio first. In 1992 she began part-time training in Leipzig as a teacher and leader at a creativity school. In 1996 she founded the Kinder-Jugend-Schreibring eV, of which she was chairman until it was dissolved in 2009. Writing workshops with children and adolescents also took her to Austria and collaborated with the Graz Youth Literature Workshop.

In 1997 she began studying social pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences in Merseburg and graduated on "Self-discovery of children and young people through creative writing". In 2000 she became the town clerk in Halle and began to write historical city tours to make her hometown more attractive to tourists. She has been a freelance writer since 2011, after she had to give up the Schöpf-Kelle meeting place in Halle-Silberhöhe, which she founded in 1994, as director. She has two sons and two granddaughters and lives with her husband in Halle (Saale).

She is on the board of the Pelikan eV and a member of the Association of German Writers . Literary work areas are children's and non-fiction books as well as literary biographies and socio-documentaries.

Her book "And in the evening cuddling with mom" caused a sensation, in which she reported on eight families from the Vogtland from the birth of one of their children to their schooling in 2014.
