Christine Béchard (born February 27, 1963 ) is a former Mauritian athlete .

biography

At the Commonwealth Games 1982 Christine Béchard competed in the javelin throw, where she finished tenth of eleven places.

Béchard was with their participation in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , the first woman from Mauritius, which at Olympics participated. In the discus throw , however, she was eliminated in qualification as 17th.

Béchard was able to record some national successes in addition to her Olympic participation. She has been the national champion in javelin and discus throw , high jump and in the 100 meter hurdles several times .
