Christine Bell (athlete)
Christine Bell (née Perera; born October 11, 1949 ) is a former British hurdler .
In 1969 she won bronze over the 50 m hurdles at the European Indoor Games in Belgrade and was seventh over the 100 m hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in Athens .
At the British Commonwealth Games in 1970 she won bronze for England over the 100 m hurdles.
In 1968 she became English champion over 100 m hurdles, in 1968 and 1970 over 200 m hurdles and in 1969 English indoor champion over 60 m hurdles. On June 3, 1967 in Blackburn she set an unofficial world record over 100 m hurdles with 13.7 s.
