Christine Blum

Christine Blum (born August 5, 1958 ; resident in Altbüron ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Christine Blum grew up in Gondiswil and attended secondary school in Huttwil . From 1974 to 1978 she attended the teacher training college in Langenthal and then worked as a teacher. From 1985 to 1989 Christine Blum trained as a curative pedagogue at the Institute for Special Education and Psychology ISP in Basel and then worked as a curative pedagogue in the field of integrative support until 2003. In 2003 she became director of the Oberaargau School for Special Education in Langenthal. In 2008, Blum completed a postgraduate degree at the Intercantonal University for Curative Education HfH in Zurich in the field of Special Needs Educational Management and Leadership. She has been a member of the management of the Schürmatt Foundation in Zetzwil since 2016 . Christine Blum is married and has three daughters. She lives in Melchnau .

Christine Blum was a member of the municipal council (executive) of Melchnau and vice-president of the municipality from 2007 to 2014. Until 2010 she headed the finance and supply department and from 2010 to 2014 she headed the school commission. After Pierre Masson's resignation, Christine Blum moved up to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in 2017 and took a seat on the Justice Commission. Christine Blum was re-elected in 2018.

Christine Blum was President of the Association of Outpatient Therapeutic Pedagogues of the Canton of Bern from 1998 to 2003 and has been a board member of the Association of Self-Help Centers in the Canton of Bern since 2013.
