Christine Ferneck

Christine Ferneck (born April 29, 1968 in Munich ) is a former German hockey player and Olympic participant.

Life

The striker made her debut in the German national hockey team in 1988 . At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , the team finished fifth, with Christine Ferneck taking part in all five games. After the team had finished eighth at the 1990 World Cup , the team came second at the 1991 European Championship . At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona Ferneck was only present in two games, including the final defeat against the Spanish hosts. Christine Ferneck played a total of 59 international matches from 1988 to 1992.

For her achievements at the 1992 Olympics, she received the Silver Laurel Leaf on June 23, 1993.

Christine Ferneck started at Münchner SC and then moved to Berlin HC , with whom she became German indoor champion in 1992.
