Christine Island is an 800 m long island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 1.5 km off the south coast of Anvers Island and 2.5 km southeast of Bonaparte Point .

The island got its name from Dieter Müller-Schwarze, biologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program , who named it after his wife Christine. Together with him, she carried out studies from 1971 to 1972 on the Adelie penguins that live on the island .
