Ivan Ivanovich Skworzow-Stepanow
Ivan Ivanovich Skvortsov-Stepanov ( Russian Иван Иванович Скворцов-Степанов * February 24 . Jul / 8. March 1870 greg. In Malzewo-Brodowo, Government Moscow , Russian Empire , † 8. October 1928 in Sochi , Soviet Union ) was a Russian Historian, economist and politician.
Life
Skvortsov-Stepanov studied at the Moscow Teachers' Institute. Together with Alexander Bogdanow he edited the "Short Course in Economic Science" and translated books by Kautsky , Hilferding , Sombart and Cunow into Russian. From 1907 to 1911 he was a member of the Duma as a Bolshevik . After the October Revolution he was briefly People's Commissar for Finance, from 1918 to 1925 deputy editor-in-chief of Pravda , then editor-in-chief of Izvestia . From 1926 he was director of the Lenin Institute . He died in 1928. His urn was buried on the Kremlin wall .
