successes
Loike won the overall Alpine European Cup and the giant slalom European Cup in the 1977/78 season.
In the 1978/79 season she was a member of the Austrian national ski team and was fifth in the giant slalom runs in Val-d'Isère and Les Gets . Two more top ten places in the giant slalom runs in Piancavallo and Fulpmes followed. Christine Loike was also a three-time Carinthian champion in slalom and giant slalom. An injury forced the young athlete to end her active career prematurely. In 1978 she became the top-placed woman in the Carinthian Sportsman of the Year election, which was not separated into men and women at the time by the Carinthian Sports Press Club.
Since then Loike has been running a snow sports school on Klippitztörl in Carinthia.
